Platform Summary: The human pluripotent stem cell registry (hPSCreg: https://hpscreg.eu/) maintains a data resource to track the usage of human embryonic and induced pluripotent stem cell lines from research to clinical applications. Over 3400 hPSC lines have been registered (as of February 2021), with approximately a quarter of the lines originating from donors with rare disease. The registry can be used to locate hPSC lines of interest for research and clinical applications.
Learning Objectives: Participants will be given an overview of the hPSCreg resource from different stakeholder perspectives: basic and translational researchers, industry and funders. Participants will learn about what data is available for each registered line and the benefits of registering lines in hPSCreg. Use cases will be shown to demonstrate the searching functions in hPSCreg and there will be special emphasis on rare diseases.
